This policy explains what information Sightline Design Studio, Inc. (“Sightline,” “we,” “us”) collects through sightlineds.com and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect
Information you give us. When you send a project inquiry or request a consultation, we collect what you choose to provide: your name, phone number, email address, project address, project type, preferred meeting dates and times, and your message. If you check the text message box, we also record the date, time and network address of that consent.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages visited. We may use analytics tools that set cookies to understand how the site is used. See “Cookies” below.
Project information. If you become a client, we collect the information needed to design your project: property records, measurements, photographs, existing plans and similar material. That information is governed by your design agreement as well as this policy.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule and confirm consultations, and prepare proposals.
- To provide the design services you request and coordinate with the engineers, consultants and agencies involved in your project.
- To send transactional messages about your request or project, including by text message if you have opted in.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and abuse, and understand how the site is used.
- To meet legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the text message box on one of our forms, or text us first, you agree to receive text messages from Sightline about your request, including appointment reminders and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.
We do not share your mobile number or your text message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages, and only so they can deliver them. The full program terms are on our SMS Terms page.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as hosting, email, text messaging, scheduling and analytics providers, under terms that limit their use of it.
- With consultants working on your project, such as structural engineers, energy consultants and surveyors, and with building departments and other agencies when we submit your project for review.
- With a contractor you ask us to coordinate with, including our construction partner Good Neighbor Construction Inc., when you request or approve it.
- When required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses functional cookies and browser storage to remember settings you choose, such as the display preferences in our accessibility panel. Those settings stay on your device and are not sent to us. We may use analytics services that set their own cookies to report on site traffic in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and consultation requests are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then for our normal business records. Project files are kept for the period required by our professional and legal obligations after a project closes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see “Your choices.”
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection, access to our systems is limited to people who need it, and form submissions are protected against automated abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as financial account numbers through our forms.
Your choices
- Access, correction and deletion. Email contact@sightlineds.com or call (949) 659-4426 and we will tell you what we have, fix it, or delete it, unless we are required to keep it. We will respond within 45 days.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any text, or contact us, to stop receiving texts.
- Email. Tell us at any time if you would rather not hear from us by email, other than messages needed to complete a project you have hired us for.
- California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and share, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To make a request, contact us using the details above. You may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site links to outside services such as maps and PDF downloads. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date. Significant changes that affect how we use information you already gave us will be explained at the top of this page.
